We are looking for a Senior VoIP PBX Engineer who can confidently own complex telephony environments and drive improvements in reliability, security, and call quality.Required experience & skills

• Strong expertise in VoIP/PBX engineering and SIP fundamentals (signaling, session behavior, routing, and troubleshooting).
• Hands-on experience administering and supporting PBX systems in production, including configuration, upgrades, and operational hardening.
• Proven ability to diagnose call issues using logs, traces, and network/media analysis (e.g., codec/negotiation, RTP behavior, NAT traversal).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts relevant to VoIP (DNS, TLS/SRTP considerations, firewalls, QoS/latency impacts, and SIP/RTP port flows).
• Experience integrating PBX features such as voicemail, IVR, routing rules, and call handling into real-world workflows.
• Comfort working with incident management: triage, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and prevention.

Projects

At H&F Communicatrions, inc, we build and maintain reliable voice communication systems that our customers can depend on. As a Senior VoIP PBX Engineer, we focus on designing, implementing, and operating our PBX and VoIP infrastructure end-to-end—helping ensure high availability, secure integrations, and consistent call quality. You will own key projects across SIP trunking, call routing, voicemail/IVR, conferencing, and integrations with existing telephony services, while improving monitoring, troubleshooting workflows, and platform resilience for production environments.

Functions

In this role, we want you to lead the engineering and operational work that keeps our VoIP PBX environment stable, secure, and scalable.

• Design, deploy, and maintain VoIP PBX solutions (e.g., SIP-based systems), including core call flows, routing, and dial plans.
• Configure and manage SIP trunks, inbound/outbound calling, number normalization, and carrier interop.
• Implement and tune voicemail, IVR, conferencing, hunt groups, call queues, and call recording workflows (where applicable).
• Ensure reliability by building and refining monitoring, alerting, and log/trace practices for call quality and uptime.
• Troubleshoot production issues end-to-end (SIP signaling, RTP/media flow, codecs, NAT/firewalls, latency, and configuration drift).
• Collaborate with networking, security, and application stakeholders to integrate PBX services with external systems.
• Harden systems through secure configuration baselines, access controls, and vulnerability awareness.
• Document architectures, runbooks, and standard operating procedures to improve team velocity and reduce outages.
• Mentor team members and contribute to technical design reviews and best-practice improvements.
