We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Shareholder Services Representative I,to join our Fund and IS Client Ops team. This role is located in Lake Mary, FL or Westborough, MA.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Provide large quantities of data related to financial transactions, account information, and transaction processing to support responses to complex client inquiries on a daily basis.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for non-standard information and process complex updates to shareholder accounts.
- Serve as an escalation point for junior team members, verify their responses to shareholders, and provide advanced technical assistance regarding shareholder accounts.
- Research and resolve moderately complex operational or shareholder issues; route issues that cannot be addressed at point of contact to the appropriate team per documented procedures; assist with status updates on problem resolution and contribute ideas to improve team efficiency.
- High school/secondary school or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience in financial services preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to phone, email, and other inquiries with fast, efficient, and accurate information; strong data handling, problem resolution, and operational skills; responsible for the quality and completion of own work.
- People Leadership: No direct reports; provides guidance to less experienced staff.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The expected base salary for this position when employment commences can be found in the Job Info section at the bottom of the posting.
Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Eligible employees also may receive other benefits (including various paid time off benefits, such as vacation and sick time), dependent on the position offered.
