Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional, welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors, offering information on services and procedures.
  • Keep patients and families informed about wait times, provider availability, and any delays.
  • Address general inquiries and concerns with empathy, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Offer guidance on charges, payment processes, and insurance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Answer and route incoming calls, providing basic information as appropriate.
  • Ensure all interactions and data handling follow confidentiality and UPH standards.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Previous customer service experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
