We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to bridge the PMO, Privacy Legal team, and cross-functional partners in delivering global data privacy compliance initiatives. This person will connect business requirements with future-state systems, impact assessments, and operating models in partnership with OCM. The ideal candidate translates complex regulatory requirements into actionable plans while driving scope, schedule, and alignment. Success requires strong cross-functional leadership in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Description
The WW PMO team is responsible for driving cross-functional execution of enterprise-wide data privacy initiatives across Apple. The team partners closely with Privacy Legal, IS&T, OCM, and business stakeholders to ensure that regulatory changes are efficiently translated into system requirements and delivered on time against strict compliance deadlines.
This role sits at the intersection of program governance, legal partnership, and business transformation.
This role owns five core areas of responsibility:
Privacy & Legal Partnership.
Requirements & Solution Translation.
Future-State & Change Management.
Program Execution & Cross-Functional Alignment.
Risk, Governance & Delivery Leadership.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison with Privacy Legal and cross-functional leadership to align and maintain tight scope control, timelines, critical path dependencies, surfacing ambiguity and facilitating timely resolution of scope, requirements, and compliance decisions.
Integrate business needs with future systems architecture, operational model design, and organizational change management.
Translate regulatory and legal requirements into clear, actionable business, system, and process requirements for engineering and functional teams.
Maintain program controls and dependencies, escalate risks, and step into critical delivery needs to ensure continuity and on-time execution, while keeping compliance decisions with Privacy Legal.
Drive alignment across teams on scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, and critical compliance milestones.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating business transformation with systems architecture, operating model design, and organizational change management.
Comfortable operating in environments with high ambiguity; able to bring structure and clarity where none exists.
Able to operate independently with conviction, influence without authority, and drive cross functional teams to the right decisions with speed and precision.
Brings a collaborative, service-oriented mindset - ensuring fast and lasting decisions are made and committed throughout the program.
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, PIPL, CCPA). along with the operational and systems implications to ensure compliance, then translate regulatory or legal requirements into system and process requirements that technical and business teams can deliver.
Proven ability to keep scope, timeline, and dependencies on track while ensuring all compliance decisions are made by Legal/Privacy team.
Exceptional communication skills - verbal, written, and executive presentation - with the ability to synthesize complexity for senior leadership audiences.
Master's degree preferred in Business, Information Systems, Law, or a related field
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience driving alignment on scope, schedule, and resources commitments across large, matrixed organizations , ideally within a highly regulated, compliance-driven environment.
3+ years of data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, PIPL, CCPA).
Bachelor's degree required in Business, Information Systems, Law, or a related field.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,700 and $211,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
