Take your sales career to the next level with a global mining technology leader.

Are you an ambitious Account Manager ready to take on more complex enterprise relationships and make a genuine impact across the global mining industry?

This is an opportunity to join Acquire, a market-leading software company, and play a key role in helping some of the world’s leading mining and exploration organisations get more value from their data and technology.

Based in our Perth office, you’ll report to the Commercial Account Manager Lead and take ownership of a portfolio of existing customers across the APAC region. You’ll build trusted relationships, uncover new opportunities and help expand the use of GIM Suite across mining and exploration sites.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining relationship building, commercial strategy and technology — and who is excited by the opportunity to work with customers ranging from junior explorers through to some of the world’s largest multi-commodity mining companies.

You’ll have the opportunity to broaden your exposure to enterprise accounts, deepen your understanding of mining technology and grow your career within a global organisation.

What you’ll do

As a Commercial Account Manager, you will:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships across the mining and exploration value chain.
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities and execute strategies to expand Acquire’s footprint within existing customer accounts.
  • Communicate Acquire’s philosophy, value proposition and solutions to customers at varying technical and strategic levels.
  • Participate in customer support and service agreement meetings, typically quarterly, ensuring alignment on deliverables and identifying opportunities.
  • Sustain Acquire’s maintenance revenue portfolio while delivering accurate revenue forecasting and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate internally with Technical Support, Product Development and Implementation teams to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Contribute customer insights to product development by communicating customer challenges and market feedback into the GIM Suite technology development roadmap.
  • Develop sufficient technical understanding of Acquire’s products to answer customer questions confidently and accurately.
  • Represent Acquire professionally with customers, partners and at key industry events across the APAC region.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for a commercially minded relationship builder who understands the resources sector and is motivated by the opportunity to grow within a global technology business.

You’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technology sales, with mining or exploration industry experience highly regarded.
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Commerce, Geosciences, or an equivalent relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of the resources sector, with an ability to engage effectively with mining clients across juniors, mid-tiers and large multi-commodity majors.
  • Demonstrated experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and sales pipeline management.
  • Proven ability to drive and close revenue opportunities, including renewals, tenders, upselling, cross-selling and expansions.
  • Working knowledge of mining software products and industry workflows is highly desirable.
  • An established network of contacts within the mining industry would be advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to balance technical detail and commercial drivers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in a business-to-business context.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of stakeholders, including management, geoscientists, database administrators, procurement and IT.

Why join Acquire?

At Acquire, you’ll be joining a global team where your work has a direct connection to the future of mining technology.

We offer:

  • Flexible hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support your wellbeing.
  • Dedicated training levy and training leave to support your ongoing professional development.
  • Specialised leave for community engagement and volunteer work.
  • Commuter benefits designed to encourage sustainable and green transport options.
  • Social Club events and functions throughout the year.
  • Global career opportunities as we continue to grow across APAC, EMEA and NAM.
