Account Manager – Stored Value

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, relationship-driven Account Manager to join our Stored Value division.

This is a highly visible, client-facing role responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients across industries including retail, restaurants, travel & entertainment, while serving as their primary point of contact and trusted business partner.

We are looking for someone with 5+ years of Account Management or related client-facing experience who understands what it means to truly own the client relationship from start to finish.

You will get to know your clients and their businesses, anticipate their needs, educate them on innovative solutions and enhancements, resolve challenges, identify opportunities for growth, and ensure they receive exceptional experience throughout the relationship.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, building relationships, growing business, solving problems, and being part of an upbeat, collaborative, performance-driven team.

What You will Do

Own the Client Relationship

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across industries including retail, restaurants, travel & entertainment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted partner for assigned clients.
  • Take ownership of the client relationship from start to finish, ensuring consistent communication, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business, objectives, challenges, contractual requirements, and future needs.
  • Develop and execute client service strategies based on individual client needs, contract specifications, and business objectives.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships that drive client satisfaction, loyalty, retention, and growth.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled client calls, presentations, business reviews, training sessions, and on-site visits as needed.
  • Ensure clients feel informed, supported, and valued throughout every stage of the relationship.

Educate, Advise & Grow

This role is more than maintaining accounts. We want our Account Managers to understand what their clients need today and what could help them tomorrow.

  • Educate clients on current products, services, solutions, and capabilities.
  • Proactively communicate future incentives, product enhancements, new offerings, and opportunities that could benefit the client’s business.
  • Identify appropriate upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Partner with Client Development and other internal teams to support revenue-growth opportunities.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and proactively engage clients well in advance of renewal.
  • Present solutions designed to strengthen relationships and support long-term retention.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product offerings, processes, industry developments, and market trends.

Solving Problems & Advocate for Your Clients

  • Proactively communicate service status and serve as an escalation point for client concerns.
  • Take ownership of client issues and drive them through resolution.
  • Navigate difficult or sensitive client conversations with professionalism, confidence, empathy, and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Advocate for clients internally and positively influence cross-functional partners to help resolve issues.
  • Coordinate card production, implementation, reporting, and other client-related activities.
  • Document client interactions, issues, resolutions, and action items according to departmental guidelines.
  • Follow through on commitments and ensure clients understand next steps and expected timelines.

Collaborate Across the Business

Our Account Managers do not work in silos. Success requires strong partnerships across the organization.

  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner across business channels and departments on strategic account initiatives and complex client needs.
  • Bring the appropriate teams together to solve problems while remaining accountable for the overall client experience.
  • Communicate effectively across departments and positively influence others to support client priorities.
  • Contribute to an upbeat, collaborative, high-performing team culture where individual accountability and team success go hand in hand.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of Account Management or related client-facing experience required.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of client relationships.
  • Experience supporting clients within retail, restaurants, travel & entertainment, hospitality, or related industries preferred.

  • Strong customer and client relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to understand client needs and translate them into solutions.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for retention, upselling, cross-selling, and account growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and client-facing communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to navigate difficult conversations and communicate sensitive information constructively.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, priorities, and escalations simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Strong business acumen and a solutions-focused mindset.
