Job Description
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for a designated portfolio of accounts, building strong, long-term relationships with key business leaders, owners, and executive stakeholders.
- Provide strategic guidance by understanding business objectives and conducting regular service reviews to ensure alignment with technology best practices.
- Proactively translate complex technical concepts, troubleshoot issues, and provide analytical problem resolution using expert-level knowledge of products, services, and solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Support teams to advocate for stakeholder needs and ensure a seamless service experience.
- Identify business growth opportunities and coordinate with the sales organization as appropriate.
- Drive process improvement by documenting solutions in a knowledge base and identifying opportunities to streamline and automate procedures.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with leadership and stakeholders across all channels.
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings to discuss:
- Current managed service performance
- Current and future projects
- Technology roadmaps and strategic initiatives
- Operational improvements and recommendations
- Create and deliver periodic reporting to meet varying stakeholder expectations.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or formal technical education preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive technical IT experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical, stakeholder-facing role with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Sales engineering and/or IT leadership experience is helpful but not required.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Strategic Communication
- Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and act as a strategic advisor.
Technical Breadth
- Strong, well-rounded knowledge across networking, infrastructure, and application support.
Network Administration
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
- Proficiency with troubleshooting tools such as PING and TRACERT.
Microsoft Ecosystem
- Deep expertise in Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory (Azure and on-premises), Group Policy, and PowerShell.
Cloud & Application Support
- Experience with Microsoft 365 migrations, administration, and troubleshooting web-based applications.
Security & Permissions
- Strong understanding of user and email account administration, file and share permissions, and remediation of common security threats including malware and viruses.
Working Conditions
- In-office position.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate a computer and related technology equipment.
