👋 Who We Are
Athlon is a parent company gamifying health habits for kids and families. We’re the creators of Rallee, an AR-powered wellness platform that gets K-8th grade (5–14 year old) kids moving through immersive “microworkouts” during the school day and at home. Rallee is delivered free to schools, funded by professional sports teams and third-party sponsors that want to reach kids and families in a way that’s healthy and positive. Current partners include pro teams like the Philadelphia Flyers and the Florida Panthers.
We are pre-Series A and a fast-growing team today that is creating active tech experiences to build healthy habits and help students refocus on learning. You will play a key role on the School Success team owning regional school district relationships from the moment a district signs to when they renew (and expand). This is a player-coach role: you will personally onboard schools, build relationships with principals, district administrators, and our Teacher Champions, and over time build the systems and team that scale it.
This is not a passive account management role. You will proactively ideate and implement engagement strategies to drive our move-to-learn movement inside classrooms. You will be the human face of Rallee in your region — the person teachers text, the person principals trust to make Rallee fit their building culture, and the person our School Success Lead relies on to keep an accurate pulse on what’s working on the ground.
Let’s Rallee!
🧠 What You’ll Do
As a Regional School Success Manager, you own the post-close district relationship inside your region — from onboarding through renewal and expansion. You run the relationships, drive the metrics, and use the playbook we’re building together (and help improve it) to keep every building in your territory active.
Here’s what success looks like:
1. District Leadership Engagement
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with district-level leadership including superintendents, assistant superintendents, student-service directors, and other central-office decision-makers in your region.
- Network within senior leadership so you always have more than one district-level champion and “owner” of Rallee (aim for 3+ in larger districts).
- Principal relationship building is key to driving the most effective outcomes and making Rallee a part of school’s classroom management best practices
2. School Onboarding & Activation
- Run principal and building point-of-contact onboardings for the buildings in your region.
- Organize and run logistics for building-wide 15-minute virtual demos for teachers and students.
- Ensure all school communications materials are produced, on-brand, and delivered on time (Building Welcome Letters, Virtual Demo Notification Emails, Rallee Challenge emails, teacher handouts and postcards, etc.).
- Apply and refine our rollout best practices so onboarding and rollout scale cleanly, even for the largest districts in your region (25,000+ students).
3. School IT Activation Coordination
- Liaise with Rallee’s internal School IT Activation Team to ensure all school devices and single-sign-on configurations are QA-tested and ready for both teacher and student usage before every launch.
- Act as secondary support to ensure the IT implementation is as smooth as possible and no non-technical details fall through the cracks.
4. Usage Analytics & Account Health
- Own your slice of the engagement dashboard for your region - the view that tells us which districts, buildings, and classrooms are actively using Rallee, and to what degree.
- Treat the dashboard like an ER triage board: every account is stable, critical, or code red — and build the plan of attack for each tier.
- Translate usage signals into proactive macro- and micro-motivation strategies that deepen in-classroom engagement.
- Balance top-down (District/Principal-level) expectations with bottom-up (teacher-level) strategies to maximize engagement and grow month-over-month usage.
- Flex your gamification creativity by concepting fun ways to get non-active classrooms “Rallee”-ing and graduating casual users to active/champion-level users.
- Hit and hold Rallee’s 90%+ district renewal target across the accounts you own.
5. School Engagement & Community Activations
- Plan and execute for Rallee’s real-world and digital activations at school community moments in your region.
- Scan district calendars for activation opportunities: Back-to-School Nights, Parent/Teacher Conferences, National IT Day, National Principal’s Month/Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, Front Office Staff Day, and others — and turn each into a Rallee touchpoint that strengthens our presence inside the building.
- Build a year-long activation gameplan per school organization that spends Rallee’s team and marketing resources on the biggest “bang-for-buck” moments — driving adoption, parent engagement, and sponsor outcomes.
6. Teacher Champion Network
- Recruit, develop, and retain the in-school educators who are our biggest advocates and boots on the ground in your region.
- This network is our most important distribution channel — you own its health in your territory.
7. Issue Resolution
- Be the front-line point of contact when something goes wrong. Triage fast, escalate appropriately, close the loop.
- Respond to inbound questions, concerns, or opportunities within 48 hours for optimal professionalism.
- Always bring a solution (or more than one) to every challenge you bring to the School Success team.
8. Voice of the Customer
- Bring structured feedback from schools to the School Success team so it reaches our product and partnerships teams — helping us better meet the needs of students, teachers, and communities.
- Run a cadence of bite-sized surveys, impromptu educator conversations, and other feedback loops so we don’t wait until year-end to learn how to improve.
9. Own Your Region
- Treat your region as a movement to build, not just a portfolio of accounts. Be seen as part of the community, build rapport at the building level, and stretch every dollar the way a scrappy pre-Series A team must
🧩 Who You Are
Must-Haves
- Multiple years of experience in customer success, account management, partnership management, and/or community engagement — with at least 3 years owning renewal/retention metrics directly.
- Reliable access to a car and a valid driver's license. You're comfortable driving to schools across the region on a regular weekly cadence.
- A track record of high renewal rates (ideally 90%+) in a subscription or annual-contract business.
- Direct experience working with K–12 schools, districts, or educators - whether as an EdTech CSM, district partnership manager, nonprofit program lead, or former educator/administrator.
- A working understanding of data privacy (like COPPA/FERPA) or the ability to learn them fast. Any candidate touching school relationships must operate responsibly inside a COPPA/FERPA-compliant environment.
- Strong analytical instincts: comfortable in spreadsheets, reading product-usage data, and building a renewal forecast you’d defend to a board.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with the ability to sit across from a Superintendent one meeting and be relatable to a Kindergarten teacher the next.
- Genuine warmth and credibility with educators. Teachers and principals can spot a vendor a mile away — you don’t read like one.
- Based in or near your assigned region and available for meaningful in-district travel across your region. This is a field role, not a desk role.
- Strong discernment. You know when a situation is yours to just decide, and when it's worth a quick huddle first — and you default to keeping things moving rather than letting decisions stall.
- Comfort with pre-Series A reality: shifting priorities, lean resources, and equity as real compensation.
Strong Pluses
- Former K–8 teacher, principal, athletic director, or district administrator in your region.
- Experience in PE, school wellness, youth sports, or movement-based programming.
- Understanding of sports/brand partnership activation, especially with youth or school audiences.
- Hands-on experience with customer-success dashboards or customer management systems.
- Existing relationships with school districts in your region — you already know the players.
🎯 Before You Apply
A few things to know, before you put time into our process.
The stage. The product ships, partnerships are signed, schools are renewing. Some playbook elements are in place; others you will help write. The team is lean today. Within twelve months, it will be eight to ten. Every hire reshapes the company.
What this actually looks like. You will own a region, not a task list. You will make decisions and defend them, and move between strategy and execution on the same day. You will work closely with the school Success Team and the founders — that’s the upside and the demand; there is no insulation. We give direct feedback and expect it back. We do not have time for politics, ebbs and flows in performance, or hedging.
The pace is fast because the window is real. Schools sign in narrow windows. Sponsors plan budgets a year out. If you need a long ramp, a fully defined playbook, or a manager to hand you priorities, this is not the right seat.
Who this is for. People who have built planes while flying them before. People who can name the hardest thing they’ve owned and walk you through it successfully. People who are passionate about kids’ health, making a difference and seeing what active learning can be.. People who are energized to be a part of building the company that proves it.
We hire deliberately. The process is structured, the references are deep, and we move quickly on candidates we’re convinced about. If you’ve read this far and you’re in, we want to talk!
