Payroll Administrator

Salary: R29 000 per month Remote Recruitment is looking for a Payroll Administrator to work from home in South Africa for a UK employer. Payroll is the one thing that has to be right every single month, and this role is for someone who takes that seriously and enjoys the detail. Full-time and 100% remote, working 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST). Key responsibilities - Process monthly and weekly payroll runs accurately and on schedule - Maintain employee records, starters, leavers and changes to pay - Calculate overtime, statutory payments, deductions and expenses - Answer payroll queries from employees clearly and discreetly - Reconcile payroll reports and support year-end processes - Keep records in line with data protection requirements What you will need - Experience with payroll processing in a business or bureau environment - Familiarity with payroll software such as Sage, Xero, BrightPay or similar - Confident spreadsheet skills and strong numerical accuracy - Discretion with confidential information - A quiet home workspace, reliable computer and stable fibre internet - A backup power solution for load shedding What is on offer - A permanent, fully remote position with a UK employer - Predictable UK business hours - Training on UK payroll rules if you are coming from a South African payroll background - Progression into payroll management or wider finance roles UK payroll experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
