Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Management / Sales:
- Serves as account services plan manager for employer and county accounts; ensures a strong, cohesive business partnership; prioritizes client needs; monitors client activity
- Leads retention and renewal processes for assigned accounts
- Oversees / provides technical claims, billing, and service support on operational issues; interacts with related functional areas when needed
- Documents / completes paperwork for plan changes and quality checks
- Assists in setup of / coordinates delivery of on-site professional services
- Presents / implements new programs and plans
- Identifies / documents best practices of the client services team
- Oversees / performs plan benefit overrides accurately and within established guidelines
- Oversees / performs benefit review claims testing and setup
- Prepares RFP standard marketing materials and responses
- Coordinates all client issues involving claims customer service, eligibility, benefit questions, mail service etc.
- Searches for / researches RFP opportunities, on line and within broker community contacts; fosters relationship with broker community to enhance business opportunities
- Brings in new business (sales) through direct contact, RFP process, and other sales means
- Manages client reporting and data file creation; coordinates billing functions
- Conducts periodic account reviews; analyzes financial and clinical programs
- Performs eligibility add, term, or research as needed
- Reviews / reports on financial results for PBM account activity, regularly and as requested
- Participates in / supports health and employee benefit fairs
- Provides leadership and direction to RxTra Advantage Implementation Analyst
- Supervises / assigns daily work to RxTRA Advantage Coordinator
- Manages special projects as assigned
- Customer Service:
- Works directly with clients to provide general account services
- Applies understanding of client needs and business objectives; manages client expectations; escalates client concerns as appropriate
- Ensures a high level of quality client service through execution of accuracy, responsiveness, reliability, and professionalism
- Collaborates with internal teams to coordinate timely resolution of requests
- Ensures timely resolution of client requests
- Oversees evaluation of contracts; monitors performance guarantees
- Interfaces with Store operations to resolve clients or employer issues
- Interacts with PBM network and eligibility departments to resolve prescription issues
- Attends client meetings; completes ad hoc report requests to support account executives
- Initiates / supports new client benefit implementations with PBM network partner
- Meets with / presents to clients in person (up to 20% of the time)
- Experience in account management -
- Experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) -
- Knowledge of H-E-B Pharmacy guidelines, procedures, and benefit design -
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills -
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills -
- Strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills -
- Strong time management and organization skills -
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and H-E-B systems -
- Ability to handle confidential / sensitive information -
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail -
- in a related field () or comparable experience -
- Certified / Registered Technician -
- Function in a fast-paced retail / office environment
- Travel (up to 20% of the work week) by car / plane with some overnight stays
- Occasionally lift and carry 20 lbs or more
- Work extended hours and varying work schedules; sit for extended periods
