About the job
I’m hiring a Client Success & Growth Manager for MFG.inc.
The standard job information you expected is actually at the bottom of the post. Do scroll down to read it. But before we get to the responsibilities, qualifications, and all the usual job-posting machinery, I thought it would be better to start with the things that matter most. The usuals can wait a minute.
Your role goes wherever trust needs follow-through.
That’s the job in a nutshell.
We’re small. You won’t inherit a mature client success department, a polished playbook, or a team of people handing you a perfect process. You’ll help build all that. The way you onboard clients, follow up, notice friction, create momentum, and help people feel supported will become the essence of our reputation.
We’ll look to you to nurture relationships with the people who come to MFG.inc for help and partnership. With manufacturing owners who engage with us because they need relief, not more work. With leaders trying to create better habits inside busy companies. With frontline leaders learning how to lead people while also being responsible for output. With partners and clients who need to know that MFG.inc is not going to disappear after the first invoice, first cohort, or first burst of enthusiasm.
So, you have to love manufacturing and care about U.S. manufacturers.
And you have to care about people and love follow-through. Real follow-through. The kind that makes people feel acknowledged, understood, and helped.
MFG.inc exists to help manufacturers grow without the grind. That is why this role matters. You’re not joining us to “manage accounts.” You’re joining MFG.inc to help clients keep moving forward— from first engagement to the next right step, from early trust to real progress, from relief to healthier growth.
If that sounds energizing — and uncomfortably close to how you already think — read on.
About MFG.inc
MFG.inc helps strengthen U.S. manufacturers.
Our team comes from manufacturing. We’ve spent thousands of hours inside real shops, from operator to owner, on every shift, and we understand what it takes to improve the business without slowing production down. We’re not building a traditional consultancy. We’re building practical operating infrastructure — tools, content, training, and the Run Improve Grow® method — for the people running manufacturing companies every day.
We believe manufacturers deserve better than constant firefighting, unclear priorities, stalled decisions, and improvement efforts that unravel when pressure rises. A company that only runs well when a few people sprint doesn’t really run well. MFG.inc helps manufacturers build clearer priorities, faster decisions, problems solved where they happen, and confident leaders at every level.
Run Improve Grow® is the method behind our work: Run today. Improve tomorrow. Grow on purpose.
Our goal is simple: fewer fires, better decisions, visible progress, and real growth — so manufacturers can grow without the grind.
The Role
We’re hiring a Client Success & Growth Manager to set the standard for how MFG.inc’s clients and partners are welcomed, supported, understood, and guided from the first engagement to the next right step. Reporting to Jamie Bryant, MFG.inc’s founder and commercial strategy lead, you’ll own the relationships around our work—staying close to clients, noticing where they might fall out of sight, and keeping each relationship vibrant.
This job is about nurturing relationships with manufacturing owners, leaders, frontline managers, and partners who are using MFG.inc to build better habits inside busy companies. You’ll understand the right journey for each client, keep communication moving, notice friction early, make the next step clear, and help turn trust into deeper engagement, referrals, renewals, and growth. You can tell the difference between a satisfied client and a client with real momentum.
To do that, you’ll need to deeply understand the pressure manufacturing clients are under—and have enough commercial judgment to recognize when trust is ready to become renewal, expansion, referral, or a deeper relationship.
This is not passive account management. It is active care, commercial awareness, and disciplined follow-through. Other teammates own the quality of the work. You own the relationship around that work—making sure clients feel acknowledged, understood, supported, and never left wondering where MFG.inc went.
The standard is warmth, clarity, perceptiveness, and follow-through. When this role works, clients stay connected, keep progressing, and see MFG.inc as a long-term partner they want closer to their business.
What You’ll Own
- Managing the client journey from first engagement to the next right step.
- Nurturing client relationships through consistent follow-up, useful communication, and clear next steps.
- Supporting partner activation after launch so partners stay active, informed, and successful.
- Building referral pathways with clients, partners, alumni, and other trusted relationships.
- Identifying renewal, expansion, and next-offer opportunities as trust grows.
- Creating nurture plans for clients, partners, alumni, and other relationships that should stay connected over time.
- Supporting alumni and community engagement so people stay connected to MFG.inc after the first engagement ends.
- Capturing proof of impact—stories, quotes, examples, case study opportunities, and evidence of progress—in partnership with Product Development.
- Bringing client and partner feedback back into Commercial Strategy / Mission Control.
- Coordinating with Growth Marketing on nurture emails, partner campaigns, client communications, and other relationship touchpoints.
What We’re Looking For
This role calls for relational intelligence with commercial backbone—someone who can care deeply about clients while still seeing the commercial path forward.
- Has real experience working with and around manufacturers, MEPs, associations, workforce organizations, leadership development programs, training teams, professional services, or other groups that help strengthen manufacturing companies.
- Has enough love for U.S. manufacturing to care whether the relationship actually helps. That matters here.
- A client-centered relationship builder who understands that trust is proven in the follow-through, not the kickoff.
- Understands that manufacturing clients are busy, pressured, and often pulled back into the urgent. You know how to stay close without becoming noise.
- Can see the people inside the account: the owner who needs relief, the leader trying to build better habits, the frontline manager carrying pressure, the partner trying to create value, and the team member who may need one extra nudge.
- Strong at guiding the journey. You can help a client understand where they are, what they need next, and how MFG.inc can continue to help without turning every conversation into a sales pitch.
- Commercially aware without being transactional. You can spot renewal, expansion, referral, proof, and next-offer opportunities because you are paying attention to value, trust, timing, and need.
- Organized enough to manage many relationships at different stages without losing the thread. You keep useful notes, follow up when you said you would, and make the next step easy.
- Warm, practical, and perceptive. You understand that busy manufacturing clients may not always raise their hand when they need help, so you listen closely, notice drift early, and follow up in a way that feels useful instead of intrusive.
- Comfortable partnering across a small team. You will work closely with Partnerships, Growth Marketing, Product Development, Commercial Strategy, and partners to keep the client experience connected.
What This Produces
Over time, this role should build a healthy, thriving community of clients and partners who stay connected, use more of what MFG.inc offers, refer people they trust, and keep coming back because the relationship remains useful long after the first engagement.
It should turn that trust into profitable long-term growth—with clearer signals about where clients are getting value, where they are getting stuck, what they may need next, and where MFG.inc has earned the right to go deeper.
