Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit. Overview This is a pro bono volunteer position. JerseySTEM is seeking a skilled Project Manager to help implement and execute transformational organization outcomes. The candidate will have demonstrated expertise and application of Agile methodologies, techniques and frameworks, a successful track record of driving and facilitating teams, commitment to continuous learning and mindset of relentless improvement. Responsibilities - Attend the meeting of the team you will be supporting (weekly or daily). - Create user stories to describe work items, with clear descriptions and acceptance criteria. - Prioritize stories for the backlog and keep the team organized and focused. - Conduct weekly meetings with stake holders and monitor the health of the Kanban board. - Encourage team members to utilize JIRA for task management. - Drive open communication with team members. - Be the servant leader for the team members, mentoring/assisting them when needed. - Identify opportunities for improvement and be “THE CHAMPION OF CHANGE”. Qualifications Technical Qualifications: - Experience using Jira, Kanban or Sprint Board, Slack - Excellent communication, analytical, mentoring and problem-solving skills Minimum time commitment: 4 - 6 hours/ week, for a minimum 6 months Requirements Weekly meeting TBA
