Role Description The Constituent Services Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Jackson, MS. This position is responsible for responding to inquiries from residents, organizations, and stakeholders by phone, email, mail, and in person, ensuring timely, accurate, and courteous assistance. Daily tasks include documenting and tracking constituent cases, researching issues related to treasury services, and coordinating with internal departments and external agencies to resolve concerns. The role involves preparing clear written communications, informational materials, and follow-up correspondence, as well as maintaining organized records and case files. The Constituent Services Representative also supports outreach efforts, provides general information about treasury programs and policies, and helps identify trends in constituent needs to inform service improvements.
Qualifications

• Ability to provide effective Constituent Services, including assisting residents with inquiries, concerns, and requests for information or support.
• Strong Communication skills, with clear, professional verbal and written abilities and a focus on customer service.
• Understanding of Federal Government and state government processes, or willingness to learn how treasury functions interact with public agencies.
• Experience or interest in Legislative Relations, including tracking issues and coordinating with policymakers or staff when needed.
• Proficiency in Case Management, including documenting, organizing, and following through on constituent issues to resolution.
• Relevant skills such as attention to detail, confidentiality, problem-solving, and use of office software (email, word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site, manage multiple tasks, and support a professional, service-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in public administration, political science, communications, or a related field is beneficial.
