About the company
Uppercross (UEL) has been a supplier to the plumbing industry since 1983 and owns the hugely successful Niko Bathrooms brand. They are a B2B supplier of plumbing, heating, and quality bathroom products to a comprehensive Irish network, which includes bathroom showrooms, DIY stores, plumbing/heating wholesalers, and builders' merchants. Due to continued growth, they moved into a brand-new office HQ in Tallaght, Dublin, last year.
About the job
There are several essential elements to this role. You must have a passion and pride for superior customer service. You will handle inbound phone calls and emails from customers, trade partners, and field sales staff, providing prompt and accurate support. You’ll be the first point of contact for routine queries, order entry, and basic product or delivery information. More complex issues will be escalated to the Sales Support Executives, but you’ll take ownership of the customer experience wherever possible.
To ensure that their business runs efficiently and correctly, you must learn the UEL IT systems until they become second nature. You'll be using to enter orders, as well as providing information on stock availability, pricing, and delivery timelines. Ideally, you'll come from a background in plumbing, heating, bathrooms, or construction related sectors. However, I'd like to hear from you if you have experience in a customer service or order entry role, ideally in a B2B environment.
What you get in return
UEL offers a very competitive salary plus a €1,000 tax-free bonus at Christmas (pro rata), as well as life assurance. You can also avail of the Cycle To Work Scheme, staff discounts, and educational support.
Their training is first class, and they greatly support staff development. This role is designed as a stepping stone into a Sales Support Executive position, offering a structured path for progression as product knowledge and experience develop. They have a great appreciation for the hard work of their staff; you'll be well treated, joining a great bunch of people who haven't forgotten it's ok to enjoy their workplace.
Based on Belgard Square North close to Tallaght Village, the office is well connected by public transport, with major bus routes and the LUAS nearby. They also have free on-site parking and modern canteen facilities. The hours are Monday to Thursday from 8.30 am to 5 pm, and on Fridays, you'll finish at 3 pm so you can beat the traffic and start your weekend early with family and friends.
