Customer Service Representative

AP Executive Staffing is partnering with a growing organization in the Buffalo area to hire an experienced Customer Service Representative. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong customer service background who also has experience working within freight, transportation, shipping, or logistics.

In this role, you’ll serve as an important connection between customers, carriers, warehouse teams, and internal operations. You’ll help coordinate shipments, provide timely customer updates, resolve shipping issues, and ensure orders move efficiently from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, shipments, delivery updates, and general questions.
• Coordinate and book LTL, FTL, and small parcel shipments with freight carriers.
• Track active shipments and maintain accurate, up-to-date transportation records.
• Provide customers with timely updates regarding shipment status, delays, and order fulfillment.
• Work with freight carriers to file claims and resolve shipment disputes.
• Partner closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure orders are processed and shipped accurately and on time.
• Assist customers with returns, exchanges, refunds, and other order-related needs.
• Troubleshoot customer concerns and work toward timely, professional resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records of customer communications, transactions, shipment activity, and issues.
• Manage multiple customer and shipping priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous customer service experience, ideally within logistics, transportation, freight, warehousing, distribution, or a similar environment.
• Experience with freight booking and logistics.
• Familiarity with LTL, FTL, and small parcel shipping.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Transportation Management System (TMS) experience is preferred.
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
