The Academic Services Clerk, answers both routine and complex inquiries from potential, current and former students, College employees and the general public. Clerical support services include general office administrative assistance and assisting part-time and partial-load faculty in the onboarding process of their employment.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
A minimum of a 2-year College Diploma in Office Administration.
A minimum of 3 years of Relevant work experience within an office environment. Excel experience is required.
Other Required Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of office procedures and practices.
- Effective interpersonal, listening and communication skills (written/verbal).
- Effective planning, time management and organizational skills to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent keyboarding and data entry skills.
- Detail-oriented and accurate.
- Respect for confidentiality.
- Tactful and diplomatic.
- Customer service oriented.
- File management skills.
Salary & Terms
- Support Group: Pay Band E
- Start Rate: $30.43/hour, plus 8% in lieu of vacation
- Hours per week: 35

THIS IS A TERM BARGAINING UNIT POSITION
This posting is for an existing vacancy at St. Lawrence College. This competition will be processed in accordance with College policy, the Academic and Support Staff Collective Agreements. In addition to comparing candidates’ qualifications and experience to the listed technical skills, education, work experience, and personal characteristics (values, attitudes, motivation, and performance), the seniority of Bargaining Unit members will be considered. If the search extends beyond the Bargaining Unit, consideration will be given to accumulated service with the College.
