Our client, a background screening and verification services company, is looking to hire a Reference Specialist re
Pay Rate: $13-14.00/hour
Responsibilities:
Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails with professional and personal references to collect candidate information.
Conduct inbound and outbound calls with landlords to obtain rental history and tenant verification information.
Collect, verify, and accurately document personal, professional, and rental reference information.
Maintain professionalism and excellent communication during all internal and external interactions.
Follow established standards and guidelines to maintain the accuracy and quality of results.
Handle escalated cases and perform additional follow-up to obtain required reference and tenant verification information.
Use effective probing and active listening skills to gather complete and accurate information.
Navigate multiple computer applications efficiently while maintaining speed and accuracy.
Accurately document information and maintain organized records.
Use sound judgment, problem-solving, and analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
Multitask effectively and complete assigned work within required timelines.
Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Work occasional overtime as needed to meet business objectives.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 6 months of customer service or call center experience.
Previous data entry experience.
Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional active listening skills with the ability to accurately capture and document information.
Ability to navigate multiple computer applications with speed and accuracy.
Strong persistence and ability to effectively probe for information.
Excellent judgment and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
Adaptable and team-oriented with a professional approach.
Ability to type 40 WPM or higher.
Strong grammar and spelling skills.
Proficiency with data collection and computer applications.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed work instructions.
