About the Role

As Finance Director, you will work directly with the CEO/COO and play a central role in shaping financial strategy across the business. You will own planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, cash management, risk, and financial operations while helping leadership make confident decisions about growth and investment. You will also influence major strategic initiatives, including fundraising, expansion, partnerships, and potential M&A activity. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who wants both executive-level influence and hands-on ownership of a growing finance function.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute a financial strategy that supports the company's growth, profitability, and long-term business objectives.
• Own company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, giving leadership clear visibility into performance and future scenarios.
• Turn financial analysis into practical recommendations for the CEO/COO and senior leadership team.
• Lead day-to-day finance operations while ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting is accurate and delivered on time.
• Protect liquidity by actively managing cash flow, financial performance, working capital, and funding requirements.
• Strengthen financial policies, internal controls, and operating procedures to protect company assets as the business scales.
• Evaluate capital investments and guide capital allocation decisions based on risk, return, and strategic priorities.
• Lead fundraising initiatives across debt and equity financing while managing relationships with investors and financial institutions.
• Identify and mitigate financial, regulatory, tax, and operational risks before they become barriers to growth.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team with clear accountability and strong operating standards.

Requirements

Must-Have:

• Proven experience in a CFO, Finance Director, VP Finance, or comparable senior financial leadership role.
• Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated success with fundraising, capital allocation, financing, or investor relations.
• Strong financial and analytical judgment, including the ability to translate complex financial information into clear business recommendations.
• Working knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, tax considerations, and internal controls.
• Experience leading and developing finance professionals while collaborating effectively with senior executives.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience working in a high-growth startup or rapidly scaling company.
