Construction Estimator

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a construction estimator to work on commercial and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate should already know about estimating construction projects in the US. You should understand materialconstruction estimates at all levels, including evaluating scopes of work, reviewing project plans and specifications, and soliciting product proposals. Responsible for creating project narratives, plan take offs, and working with a team to create consistent, repeatable​results.

Requirements

- Review project plans, specifications, estimating scopes and pricing

- Prepares and reviews budget and general conditions estimates for entire project prior to bid date

- Ensures the flow of project information is maintained and documented

- Prepares and reviews all bid and/or estimate forms for submissions

- Compiles pre-bid questions for submission to owner

- Organizes coordination meetings, and attends pre-bid meetings

- Prepares and presents budget presentations to general contractors and architects

Experience:

Construction estimating: 2 years (Preferred)Construction: 2 years (Preferred) Minimum of two years of estimating experience on commercial construction projects, metal panel experience a plus

Must be a self-starter who is extremely organized and detail oriented

Ability to accurately read architectural drawings and shop drawings

Ability to meet and exceed deadlines

Good communication, reading, math, and reasoning skills

Ability to work independently and with other personnel

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred (or equivalent work experience)
