Sales Development Representative - HR Technology

Applaud HR is an award-winning UK HR technology platform helping global enterprises transform employee experience through AI. They are at the forefront of agentic AI in HR, won the HR Tech Award in 2025, and are growing their sales function to match.

You will work directly with Applaud's sales team, based remotely from South Africa, generating and qualifying pipeline for the UK and European markets. You are the first impression for enterprise prospects and the engine that keeps the sales team moving.

This is a full-time, fully remote role. Working hours are UK time, 09:00 to 17:30 GMT.

What you will be doing

• Run high-volume outbound prospecting by email, phone and LinkedIn to enterprise HR buyers
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads and hand them off to Account Executives
• Research target accounts and personalise outreach at scale
• Book discovery calls and demos for the sales team
• Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking
• Work closely with sales and marketing to sharpen the messaging

Requirements

Essential

• Two or more years in a B2B SDR or outbound sales role, ideally in SaaS or technology
• Confident communicator with excellent written and spoken English
• Experience using CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce
• Self-starter who can work independently across UK time zones
• Comfortable with high outreach volumes and with rejection
• Reliable fibre or LTE internet, a working laptop and a quiet, dedicated workspace

Desirable

• Experience using AI tools for sales outreach or personalisation
• Experience selling into HR or people leadership buyers
• Experience selling into UK or European enterprise markets
