Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- Proficient in data entry, counter sales, and dealing with the public.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, insurance, and community resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Gathers and verifies patients’ current demographic information, including insurance treatment diagnosis, and authorizations and enters into the Brightree software and creates a sales order.
- Create delivery tickets/pick up tickets and give them to delivery technicians to set up deliver/pick up.
- Answers phone calls and assist clients calling with questions regarding invoices.
- Completes intake for hospital discharges, physician clinic orders, walk ins.
- Maintains working knowledge of equipment and supplies that we can provide and can answer general questions about the operation and use of an item.
- Maintains a working knowledge of what insurances will and will not pay for and can articulate that information to the customer, family, or physician.
- Answers phone with appropriate phone etiquette.
- Schedules deliveries with clients and delivery personnel.
- Performs all sales functions.
- Ensures that proper documentation is completed correctly before scanning to the patient chart.
- Organizes and maintains all client/patient records and DME files.
- Be willing and able to learn new software systems to streamline business.
- Other duties as assigned.
