Managing Director - Healthcare M&A

We are working with an established, middle‑market investment bank to identify a Managing Director with significant M&A deal experience across the Healthcare Services sector. This is a senior hire designed to further expand the firm's healthcare coverage, with flexibility for the individual to be based in Chicago or Boston.

This role is well‑suited for a senior banker who is a strong deal execution professional and is ready to take on a more business development-focused mandate, supported by an experienced and well‑resourced execution team. The firm has been active for over a decade, with a proven track record, repeat clients, and consistent deal flow across multiple healthcare subsectors.

The firm provides meaningful infrastructure, junior banker leverage, and a collaborative environment that enables senior bankers to focus on originating and leading transactions, rather than being pulled too deeply into execution.

Responsibilities

• Originate and advise on M&A transactions across the healthcare services/technology sector
• Lead client relationships and manage deal processes from origination through closing
• Leverage an experienced execution team to support transaction delivery
• Play a visible role in expanding the firm's healthcare presence and client base
• Collaborate with senior leadership across the platform on growth initiatives

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Currently a VP, Director, or Managing Director at a middle-market investment bank
• Strong Healthcare M&A transaction experience with a track record of execution
• Demonstrated business development capability or clear appetite to step into a more origination‑focused role
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and expand client relationships
• Comfortable working within a lean, high‑performance team structure
