Family Engagement Specialist, GT School (Remote) - $60,000/year USD
Indexed description
GT Anywhere is a virtual institution designed for gifted learners prepared to progress quickly. We integrate AI-driven instruction with personalized coaching to deliver an experience that is academically challenging and authentically human. This approach depends on parents feeling heard, equipped, and genuinely included as collaborators—not treated as cases in a system.
In this Parent Success Partner position, you will take ownership of the parent experience. You won't be passively monitoring a queue. You'll initiate contact early, establish credibility from the start, and maintain the kind of proximity to families that allows you to address concerns well before they grow. You'll recognize successes, support parents during pivotal moments, and convert meaningful relationships into sustained enrollment and active advocacy.
This opportunity suits someone who views customer success as inherently personal, anticipatory, and relationship-centered. If you've longed for work that prioritizes people over process metrics, you'll find it here.
What You Will Be Doing
- Addressing parent inquiries and concerns through email and chat channels with responsiveness, understanding, and precision
- Recognizing student achievements and learning progress through intentional, customized outreach
- Building connections among GT families to foster community cohesion and shared advocacy
- Collecting parent input and communicating actionable observations to leadership for continuous program refinement
- Developing, updating, and enhancing parent-facing resources and knowledge base materials
- Operating exclusively from a reactive ticket queue model
- Defaulting to scripted language or inflexible reply frameworks
- Delivering technical troubleshooting or resolving platform-level issues
- Functioning independently—you'll partner regularly with Academic Advisors and senior leadership
- Viewing families as ticket entries or metrics—each parent represents a distinct, valued relationship
Basic Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer success, account management, or community-facing roles
- Direct experience working in education or with students and parents
- At least 1 year managing digital support channels (email, chat, or helpdesk tools such as Intercom, Help Scout, or Zendesk)
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, warm, and professional communications
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities using documented tracking methods
- Track record of building relationships proactively, not just responding reactively
- Ability to build trust and connect confidently with parents in live video conversations such as Zoom or Google Meet
- Comfortable working remotely and communicating asynchronously
