Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office
At Sage, innovation starts with our people. With over 13,000 colleagues across 40 locations worldwide and more than 2 million customers, we’re united by a shared purpose: to transform the way millions of businesses work. As a global leader in AI, finance and HR software, we harness cutting-edge technology to simplify complexity and drive progress.
We’re now looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused apprentices to join our Customer Success team. You’ll enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and helping businesses get the most from technology, while earning a recognised Level 3 qualification at the same time.
Why join Sage as an Apprentice?
This isn’t a passive learning programme. From day one, you’ll work on real challenges alongside experienced colleagues, with structured development, mentoring, and hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
What you’ll be involved in
As a Customer Success Apprentice, you’ll support how Sage builds customer relationships that promote retention and loyalty, helping customers get maximum value from their Sage products and services.
You’ll:
- Support the creation of Customer Success Plans that define customer goals, milestones, and outcomes, and help customers achieve them
- Help drive product adoption and usage, learning how to use customer data and telemetry to spot churn risk and act on it early
- Build an understanding of customers’ pain points and support responsive solutions, developing a consultative, digital-first approach to customer engagement
- Develop strong product knowledge so you can confidently demonstrate Sage solutions and make recommendations, including how AI features help customers work smarter
- Learn to identify expansion opportunities that create value for both the customer and Sage
- Be the voice of the customer, sharing actionable feedback with teams across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Services
- Keep records and Customer Success Plans accurate and up to date in Salesforce, building disciplined CRM habits from day one
We welcome applications from people who are at the start of their career and ready to learn. You don’t need a degree or prior experience in customer success. What matters most is your passion for helping customers, your curiosity about technology, and a genuine drive to build relationships that last.
To meet the entry requirements for the Level 3 apprenticeship, you’ll need:
- Five GCSEs at grades 9 to 4, including English and Maths
All successful candidates will undergo background checks including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Beyond that, you’ll stand out if you:
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships and engage a range of people
- Are action-oriented, taking the initiative and spotting opportunities to add value
- Follow through on commitments, showing consistency between words and actions
- Are adaptable, able to adjust your approach depending on the situation
- Show resilience, maintaining a positive attitude while navigating difficult obstacles
- Enjoy working with data and turning it into meaningful actions and opportunities
- Have an interest in emerging technologies, including AI, and how they help businesses succeed
- Are comfortable using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
Alongside your day-to-day role, you’ll study towards the IT Technical Salesperson Level 3 apprenticeship. The programme is designed to give you both the technical product understanding and the commercial and customer engagement skills to succeed in a technology business.
By the time you complete the programme, you’ll have a strong foundation in customer engagement, technical solution knowledge, and commercial awareness, giving you the skills and professional credibility to build a career in customer success.
Working at Sage, you will also benefit from:
- Five paid volunteering days each year through Sage Foundation
- Access to learning platforms, expert-led sessions, and a global professional network
- A clear career pathway with opportunities to grow once your apprenticeship is complete
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare, competitive pension, and more
- Apply online with your CV
- If eligible, you will be invited to complete a video interview
- If successful, you’ll be invited to a final stage assessment
- Successful candidates will join us in October 2026
