Customer Service Representative

Company Description Budget of Cedar Rapids – Rental, Sales, Detail and Collision Center operates under a franchise agreement with Budget, providing short-term rentals of automobiles, vans, and trucks. The company also sells newer model used vehicles to a wide range of customers. In addition, it runs a detailing and collision center that repairs and prepares automobiles for sale for the corporation, the public, and other auto dealers in the area. Team members work in a dynamic automotive environment that combines rental services, vehicle sales, and repair operations, offering opportunities to learn multiple aspects of the business.

Role Description This full-time, on-site Customer Service Representative role is based in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Customer Service Representative will greet and assist customers in person and by phone, supporting rental reservations, vehicle pick-up and return, and basic sales inquiries. Daily responsibilities include explaining rental terms, answering questions, resolving concerns, processing payments and documentation, and coordinating with the detailing and collision center to ensure vehicles are ready for customers. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, updating customer information, and collaborating with team members to support smooth operations and a positive customer experience. Consistent, professional communication and a focus on customer satisfaction are essential.

• Ability to deliver high-quality Customer Service and support strong Customer Experience.
• Skills in Customer Support and maintaining Customer Satisfaction throughout the service process.
• Prior experience in a Customer Service Representative or similar customer-facing role is preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site environment, including evenings or weekends as needed.
• Basic computer skills for handling reservations, payment processing, and record keeping.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record may be required for vehicle-related tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in automotive, retail, or hospitality is a plus.
