Solution Architect - BFSI Cloud & Payments Platform

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of large-scale Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Payments, Transaction Processing, Cloud Modernization, GCP, Enterprise Architecture, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Data Platforms, and Observability.

The candidate will act as a technical leader, working closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, security, risk, and compliance teams to design secure, scalable, highly available, and regulatory-compliant banking solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture and technical design for BFSI transformation programs.
• Define cloud modernization and migration strategies using GCP and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Design scalable and resilient cloud-native architectures for mission-critical banking platforms.
• Lead architecture reviews, design governance, technical assessments, and architecture decision processes.
• Design solutions using Microservices, APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, Distributed Systems, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Architect solutions for Payments, Transaction Processing, ATM Processing, Transaction Tracing, Reconciliation, and Observability.
• Work with payment platforms including ACH, RTP, FedNow, SWIFT, ISO 20022, and related transaction processing systems.
• Define transaction lifecycle, traceability, correlation, monitoring, and reconciliation architectures.
• Drive API-first and event-driven modernization initiatives.
• Architect real-time data and event-streaming platforms using Kafka, Spark, and related technologies.
• Lead cloud security architecture including IAM, authentication, authorization, encryption, key management, and Zero Trust.
• Define and implement CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and containerization strategies.
• Establish monitoring, logging, observability, SRE, and operational excellence practices.
• Design operational data platforms and near-real-time analytics solutions.
• Support AI/ML, GenAI, and Knowledge Graph initiatives for banking and observability use cases.
• Establish data governance, metadata, lineage, traceability, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Conduct requirements workshops and architecture discovery sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
• Present architecture solutions and recommendations to senior executives and client leadership.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and technical leads.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, architecture roadmaps, and delivery governance.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Banking and Financial Services (BFSI).
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect / Enterprise Architect / Technical Architect.
• Strong expertise in Banking, Payments, Transaction Processing, and Financial Services Platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of Cloud Architecture, Microservices, Distributed Systems, APIs, and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience with:
