These are your tasks:

  • Lead and develop the European Hardware Engineering teams in Germany and Poland.
  • Build and coach a high-performing team through talent development, performance management, and hiring.
  • Ensure technical excellence across the full hardware development lifecycle.
  • Manage resource planning, capacity, staffing, effort estimates, schedules, costs, and risks.
  • Drive development of power electronics products, including chargers, inverters, AC/DC converters, and control systems.
  • Lead key technical reviews for hardware designs, schematics, PCB layouts, architectures, and validation concepts.
  • Ensure project execution in line with engineering processes, quality, safety, and customer requirements.
  • Resolve technical, resource, and project escalations with Project Managers and System Engineers.
  • Foster collaboration with Software, System Engineering, Test, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in hardware engineering practices.

Who we are looking for:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • Several years of leadership experience in hardware development, including disciplinary team management.
  • Strong expertise in (power) electronics development.
  • Proven experience leading cross-location engineering teams.
  • Solid understanding of hardware development processes, requirements, design reviews, validation, and product development methods.
  • Experience in resource planning, effort estimation, project support, and engineering organization management.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations with Project Management, System Engineering, and Development teams.
  • Knowledge of Mentor Graphics / Siemens Xpedition is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound technical and organizational decision-making.
