- Leading greenhouse expansion projects from land acquisition and permitting through final commissioning.
- Managing multi-million-dollar CAPEX budgets, project billing, timelines, Gantt charts, and documentation to maximize ROI.
- Coordinating with local officials, utilities, contractors, and internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality, on-time builds.
- Driving automation, mechanization, and technical innovation to reduce labor dependency, increase throughput, and improve efficiency.
- Developing standardized technical specifications and SOPs for greenhouse, packhouse, and distribution center systems, with scalability across North American sites.
- Overseeing facility infrastructure, utilities, and preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
- Partnering with Operations, Growing, and Finance leadership to align technical capabilities, infrastructure, and investments with production and financial goals.
- Leading and developing a high-performing team of engineers, project managers, and technical specialists across multiple locations.
- Ensuring ultimate accountability for job site safety, environmental compliance, and a strong Safety First culture across technical departments.
- Bachelors degree in industrial engineering, construction management or related technical field; Masters degree (preferred)
- Bringing 10+ years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in high-technology greenhouse growing and packhouse operations; produce industry experience preferred.
- Bringing proven experience in greenhouse construction and expansion projects.
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of greenhouse climate control systems; PRIVA and HOGENDOORN experience would be considered an asset.
- Holding a P.Eng. designation.
- Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CAD/AutoCAD.
- Understanding Good Manufacturing Practices, Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and PrimusGFS requirements.
- Applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate options, identify risks, and develop effective solutions.
- Demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills to consistently deliver projects and goals on schedule.
- Bringing excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate ideas effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leading collaboratively and influentially, with the ability to motivate teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Base Salary Range: $200,000
