What You’d Do In This Role

We’re looking for an Associate Director of Software Engineering who will take ownership of the technical health and direction of multiple key digital marketing platforms (i.e. E-commerce, analytics, and subscriptions). This leader will guide a team of engineers toward technical excellence, setting clear standards, driving smart architectural decisions, and delivering reliable, scalable solutions. Beyond strong execution, this role is about building technology with purpose: creating tools and platforms that further our mission of bringing hope to people in every walk of life.

You’re Probably a Match If

• You have a strong software engineering background with the ability to quickly ramp up on Java / Spring.
• You have 4+ years of prior experience as an individual contributor, with progression into a current engineering leadership role.
• You have a proven ability to solve complex problems, drive clarity, and make sound technical decisions.
• You have an interest and enthusiasm in leveraging AI to improve software engineering effectiveness

• Lead, coach, and develop team of software engineers, creating an environment where people are challenged, supported, and empowered to do their best work.
• Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and invest in the professional growth and career development of your team.
• Own the technical direction, execution, and delivery of a portfolio of digital marketing tools and platforms, ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with business priorities.
• Partner closely with Product, UX, and business leaders to shape roadmaps, make strategic tradeoffs, and deliver meaningful customer impact.
• Drive engineering excellence by championing best practices in software development, architecture, testing, deployment, security, and DevOps.
• Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence through effective processes, metrics, and team collaboration.
• Make thoughtful technical decisions that balance innovation, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and speed to market.
• Collaborate across teams to improve platform performance, strengthen engineering standards, and help scale the organization's technical capabilities.
