Key Responsibilities

Report to the Head of Information Technology and provide technology leadership and operational oversight for the Global Securities Services platform, covering custody, fund accounting, and asset servicing. Align technology initiatives with enterprise architecture, business objectives, and regulatory compliance to drive modernisation, resilience, and operational excellence.

• Strategic Architecture & Roadmap: Define and execute the target architecture and multi-year technology roadmap for the Global Securities Services platform. Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, business priorities, and integration frameworks to drive continuous modernization
• System Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end implementation, support, and enhancement of systems supporting custody, asset servicing, fund accounting, valuation, and reporting. Maintain high standards of system availability, resilience, and service quality
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and deliver practical technology solutions. Manage third-party vendors and service providers, overseeing implementation, service performance, and release planning
• Data Governance & Compliance: Strengthen data architecture, governance, and control practices to enhance reporting, reconciliation, and operational transparency. Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and information security protocols
• Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team with deep domain expertise in securities operations and fund accounting, as well as strong technical skills in solution building and integration
• Collaborative Culture: Foster a collaborative IT culture, facilitating seamless cooperation with internal IT teams and affiliates

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in IT leadership roles, including at least 3 years direct experience supporting Custody, Fund Administration, or Asset Servicing domains
• Prior experience as a trusted technology partner to operations team, ideally within a custodian bank or fund administrator
• Strong understanding of custody and fund accounting concepts, including NAV methodologies, trade lifecycle, corporate actions, reconciliation, and fee calculations
• Experience with core Global Custody platforms, Proxy Voting systems, and familiarity with industry standards such as SWIFT, FIX, ISO 20022, and securities identifiers (ISIN/CUSIP/SEDOL)
• Working knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, specifically FATCA and MiFID
• Proficiency in SQL (complex queries for break analysis), ETL tools, and one modern language (Python, C#, or Java)
• Proven track record in large-scale project implementation, vendor management, team building, and technology operations
• Ability to engage effectively with senior business management and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Good command of both English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua)
• Candidates with supplementary experience and qualifications will be considered, even if they do not fully meet all the specified requirements listed above

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Associate Director level.)
