Director of Engineering – AI-Native Platforms | C++ / Go / Rust | Cybersecurity & IT/OT | Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Lansweeper is hiring a Director of Engineering to lead engineering organizations building AI-native platforms across IT, OT, and Cybersecurity domains — reporting directly to the CTO, based in Austin, TX (hybrid, 2 days/week onsite).

This is a newly created, high-impact leadership role at a fast-scaling SaaS company undergoing a full AI-native engineering transformation. You'll own execution, culture, and technical direction across multiple engineering teams building the infrastructure that powers enterprise cyber asset intelligence for some of the world's largest organizations.

AI Fluency

At Lansweeper, we are building an AI-native engineering culture. We expect all engineers to actively use AI tools (such as Claude) in their day-to-day work to improve efficiency and output quality across the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, documentation, and system design.

What You'll Lead

• Engineering organizations building scalable, high-performance platform and infrastructure systems across IT, OT, networking, and cybersecurity domains
• Adoption and scaling of AI-assisted development practices — Claude Code, agentic workflows, LLM-integrated tooling — across engineering teams
• Technical strategy in partnership with executive leadership
• Engineering execution, delivery predictability, and operational excellence
• Mentorship and growth of engineering leaders and senior technical talent

What We're Looking For

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including proven engineering organization leadership
• Technical depth in C++, Go, or Rust — hands-on background in systems or platform engineering
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalable backend architectures, and service design
• Working knowledge of LLMs and Machine Learning in production environments
• Experience leading teams building infrastructure, platform, or cybersecurity products
• Track record of driving AI-native development workflows and modern coding agent adoption at team or org scale

Nice to Have

• Background in network technologies, infrastructure intelligence, or visibility platforms
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence, or enterprise security tooling
• Experience in IT asset management, OT environments, or enterprise infrastructure domains
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Devin, or similar agentic development tools
