Infrastructure Architect: End User Computing

Experience Min: - 5+ years ICT experience in the end-user computing environment - 3+ years design and implementation of desktop hardware, software and management systems servicing the end-user computing environment in the enterprise Ideal: - 3+ years in desktop infrastructure maintenance using systems such as: System Centre Configuration, Mobile Device Management and cloud based services Qualifications - Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational - A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology Knowledge: Min: - A thorough and in-depth understanding of: - End user and distributed IT systems and infrastructure - Desktop design standards and implementation strategy - Microsoft Windows operating system architecture and application integration - Active Directory and Group Policy management - Security relevant to desktops (using tools like group policy management) - System Centre Configuration Manager and all supporting product functionality - Knowledge in scripting tools such as VBScript and or PowerShell - Encryption technologies - Mobile Device Management - End User Computing hardware technologies - Documenting of IT systems and infrastructure Ideal / Optional - Currently relevant industry cloud solution technologies - Video, Voice and Collaboration services - Virtual Desktop Technologies Skills - Communications Skills - Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook) - Reporting Skills - Analytical Skills - Problem solving skills - Presentation Skills - Facilitation Skills - Planning, organising and coordination skills - Attention to Detail - Project Management Skills (Methodolgy Specific) - Commercial Thinking Skills
