Company Description CloudBee Robotics builds infrastructure for agentic physical AI, enabling robots to learn, reason, and act in complex real-world environments. The company focuses on scalable synthetic worlds and natural language–driven environment modeling to generate task-specific simulations. Its unified platform supports long-horizon robotic agent training and deployment of robust policies to physical robots, initially concentrating on indoor robotics. By replacing fragmented robotics pipelines with a single integrated system for world generation, training, and deployment, CloudBee significantly reduces data costs and development time. A customer brings us their robot. They get back a capability that runs on it, safely, in production. Everything between those two sentences is the company.

Today that gap is a six-month research project, rebuilt from scratch for every new machine. We are turning it into infrastructure — hardware-agnostic, model-agnostic. Not another robot, not another foundation model. The layer between them.

CloudBee Robotics is an RWTH Aachen spin-off: public deep-tech funding, dedicated GPU compute, industrial pilots already running.

Why a fresh PhD: the people who understand robotic foundation models, world models and sim-to-real deeply enough to build this are finishing their doctorates right now.

You: PhD in computer vision, World Models, robot learning or robotic foundation models, defended or defending soon. Real depth in world models, sim-to-real, or humanoid and manipulation policies. You have put a policy on a real robot and dealt with what happened next. Willing to move to Aachen.

The role: Co-Founder & CTO from day one, paid through the EXIST Gründerstipendium, founder equity on top, technical ownership end to end.

It is pre-seed — a stipend, not an industry salary, with equity as the real compensation. Specifics privately.
