- Delivering end to end mission services delivery while managing the technical process baseline and serving as chair of internal review boards.
- Participation in the program’s Risk and Opportunity Management Board (ROMB).
- Leads creation of new service approaches based on changing launch requirements and new emerging technology-driven capabilities.
- Continuously assess the quality and consistency of the program’s service delivery; including root cause analysis when issues arise and executing formal process improvement efforts.
- Support execution and new business across the NSS/SOA mission segment through shared collaboration, innovation concepts and support to other programs/efforts as requested
- Establishes senior technical program business rhythms (e.g., daily ops status, monthly status brief, quarterly risk review) and ensures engineering best practices and standards are applied
- Acts as the primary technical point of contact for reporting technical status of the program to customers and internal to Lockheed Martin Space, including Enhanced Program Reporting System (EPRS) coordination
- Identify and implement cost, schedule, and/or quality improvement initiatives especially as they are enabled by new digital capabilities being fielded by the enterprise
- The successful candidate must also have ability to organize, motivate and lead groups of engineering personnel, and demonstrate in-depth technical skills.
- During program execution, management and timely resolution of the program top technical issues to include assembling the teams, providing technical guidance, engaging the enterprise, and communicating with the customers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline
- Understanding of mission operational interdependencies in the launch domain (e.g. Space Vehicle processing, launch site infrastructure, interactions between agencies)
- Experience in formal process improvement, particularly analyzing systems and workflows
- Experience as a technical leader, coordinating across multiple teams
- U.S. citizenship with an Active TS security clearance with the ability to be granted an SCI security clearance
- Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully across all levels of an organization from entry level to executive Vice Presidents including with Government technical POCs
- Broad understanding of the U.S. Government’s customer’s space systems (satellites and launchers) and support systems.
- Demonstrated Experience leading a services delivery oriented program of similar size and scale.
- Experience supporting cost estimating; awareness of cost account management principles, techniques, and processes
- Experience with targeted technology implementation to improve mission operations
- Experience coordinating consistent technical execution of teams operating at multiple locations and possess a breadth of experience across systems engineering, services delivery and operations support
- Active TS/SCI with Poly

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
