AI-Native Product Engineer - LoopOS Flux
Location: Coimbra (hybrid preferred, remote possible)
Employment: B2B Contract or Full-time
About LoopOS
LoopOS is an innovative ERP built for the circular economy, helping businesses manage processes such as trade-ins, returns, refurbishment, logistics and resale in one connected platform.
With LoopOS Flux, we’re now building the next generation of the product — from scratch and AI-native
About Role
You will join a small, high-trust team of four Product Engineers and the CTO, supported by shared QA, UX/UI Engineering and a general Product Owner.
You will take end-to-end ownership of a product area within LoopOS Flux, from understanding client needs and defining requirements to building, shipping and improving the solution in production. The role combines Business Analysis, Product Ownership and hands-on engineering, requiring someone who is comfortable working directly with clients, translating business problems into clear product decisions and using AI-native development workflows to accelerate delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own the platform end-to-end - architecture, production infrastructure, dev environments, observability, documentation and release cycles across the LoopOS estate.
- Operate it reliably - availability and performance KPIs at enterprise clients with contractual SLAs: monitoring, incident response, debugging across code and infra, shipping fixes fast.
- Ship - develop new functionality when needed, respond to bugs, manage release cycles.
- Accelerate implementations - pair with the delivery/implementation team to bring new clients live on LoopOS, and make each implementation faster than the last (tooling, templates, automation, documentation).
- Lead the agentic transformation - introduce AI-accelerated workflows across development, SRE, support, debugging and implementation: agent-assisted coding, agentic code review, bug-to-PR loops, context engineering for our repos. You'll have carte blanche and budget — and you'll be measured on real, adopted change in how the team ships, not on theoretical plans.
- Be the technical voice with clients - join implementation and pre-sales discussions at the technical layer (mostly remote; occasional travel).
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering capability and the ability to learn quickly. Rails experience is useful, but you do not need to be a Rails veteran.
- AI-native builder: agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or similar are already part of your normal way of working.
- Autonomous and accountable, comfortable moving from an ambiguous client problem to a shipped solution and owning the outcome.
- Strong communicator with clients, stakeholders and teammates; fluent English is required.
- Evidence of what you have built and shipped matters more than years of experience. Mid and senior profiles are welcome, as well as exceptional AI-native juniors with strong drive.
