McDonald's India - Head - Software Engineering

Role & responsibilities :

• Define and own engineering architecture across backend, applications, data, and infrastructure.
• Architect and scale microservices using Python, Django, and REST frameworks.
• Drive adoption of modern programming practices, automation, and secure development principles.
• Oversee backend development using Python, Django, and DRF.
• Guide application engineering for web and mobile platforms.
• Lead cloud infrastructure strategy (AWS/Azure/GCP), ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Oversee ETL pipeline development, data modeling, and analytics workflows.
• Mentor engineering teams and lead code reviews, sprint planning, and technical decisions.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality engineering outputs.

• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Expertise in Python, Django, microservices, and REST API architecture.
• Strong background in app development, system design, and distributed architectures.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and testing automation.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of data engineering, ETL workflows, and data modelling.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
