Position Overview

The AI Developer 4 is a principal-level expert who provides technical vision and organizational leadership for AI initiatives while remaining hands-on with software development and coding.

This role will define and own enterprise-wide AI technical architecture, lead highly complex and high-impact AI transformations, and serve as a trusted subject matter expert to executive leadership.

The AI Developer 4 will also establish governance and ethical AI frameworks, set long-term technical standards, mentor top technical talent, and help cultivate future technical leaders. This individual will anticipate industry trends and guide strategic investment in emerging AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own enterprise-wide AI technical architecture and standards.
  • Lead highly complex, high-impact AI transformations across the organization.
  • Remain hands-on with software development and AI implementation.
  • Provide technical vision and strategic leadership for AI initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted AI/ML subject matter expert to executive leadership.
  • Establish AI governance and ethical AI frameworks.
  • Set long-term technical standards for AI development and implementation.
  • Mentor senior technical talent and cultivate future technical leaders.
  • Evaluate industry trends and emerging AI technologies.
  • Guide strategic investment decisions related to emerging AI capabilities.
  • Design and implement scalable, distributed AI systems.
  • Provide strategic communication and technical guidance across the organization.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering and applied AI.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Proven experience designing scalable, distributed AI systems.
  • Recognized expertise in AI/ML with demonstrated enterprise-scale impact.
  • Extensive experience with system architecture.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and data ecosystems.
  • Strong leadership and strategic communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical vision while remaining hands-on with development.
