Bid Edge is building an AI SaaS platform that helps enterprise sales teams win more complex deals through AI-powered deal intelligence. Our vision is to create the world’s leading AI platform for enterprise sales teams—helping organisations improve every stage of the complex sales process through intelligent insights.

The product already has a substantial V1 MVP and a clear commercial vision. We are now focused on launching our first commercial product and building a world-class engineering team.

We are working alongside an experienced venture capital investor to build the founding team and support the company’s growth.

The Role

This is a genuine founder opportunity rather than a conventional CTO position.

Working alongside the Founder & CEO, you will take ownership of the company’s technology strategy, architecture, engineering and product delivery.

This is a highly hands-on role. During the early stages of the company you will be expected to write production code, review code, make architectural decisions and help deliver new functionality every week alongside the founder and a full-time developer.

As the business grows, you will then recruit, mentor and lead the engineering team whilst remaining closely involved in technical direction and product innovation.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys building products, solving difficult technical problems and creating exceptional software.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technology vision and technical roadmap.
• Lead software architecture and engineering decisions.
• Actively develop product features and contribute production-quality code.
• Build secure, scalable, enterprise-grade multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
• Work closely with the Founder & CEO to shape product strategy and priorities.
• Recruit, mentor and lead the engineering team.
• Establish engineering standards, testing, CI/CD and development processes.
• Ensure platform security, reliability and operational excellence.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and incorporate them where they create customer value.
• Help build a high-performance engineering culture.

Skills & Experience

• Significant experience building commercial SaaS products.
• Strong full-stack software engineering background.
• Experience building AI-powered applications using modern LLMs and AI frameworks.
• Excellent software architecture and cloud engineering experience.
• Experience using AI-enabled IDEs.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Startup or scale-up experience is highly desirable.
• Fluent spoken and written English (essential).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Working Style

This is an office-based role. During the initial growth phase we expect the founding team to work together in person, five days per week. We believe that close, day-to-day collaboration significantly accelerates product development, decision-making and company building in an early-stage startup.
