IoT Engineer

We're hiring an IoT/Edge Engineer for our client in Central Stockholm.

The Position

You'll be joining a start-up building a platform that connects industrial assets directly to energy markets, allowing heavy industry optimise power use in real time and trade it automatically. The company has established an early PMF with real customers, growing revenue and funding from prominent investors.

As an IoT Engineer you'll own the edge layer end to end: getting the platform talking to real machines on real sites, then making that work across thousands of them. Automation and controls engineers with a genuine software side, IoT platform engineers, and embedded people who reach up into the cloud will fit this role.

Responsibilities:-

• Industrial integration: PLCs, gateways, sensors and telemetry already installed on customer sites
• Protocols: OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, and whatever proprietary vendor APIs you find in the wild.
• Fleet management: Deployment, updates and observability across distributed devices
• Control logic for the real world: Safe and autonomous even offline or in degraded modes

Requirements:-

• Hands-on experience with OPC UA, Modbus or equivalent industrial communication standards
• A track record building distributed IoT or automation systems
• Experience in software development and write/ship code you own.
• Comfort reverse-engineering undocumented systems and normalising messy data
• You like working close to hardware, and you care about reliability and safety at the edge
• Fluent English speaker

Bonus:-
