Founding Engineer
Indexed description
Tickivo is rebuilding how Europe's event industry runs on the rails underneath it.
We're an AI-native ticketing platform built for organizers who deserve better tools and fairer economics. By combining payment infrastructure, AI-powered marketing, and real-time insights, we give organizers control over their cash flow, their audience, and their growth.
We're starting in the Nordics and going wherever live events happen.
What joining Tickivo means
We move fast: Deadlines are days, not months. The events industry moves in seasons — we don't.
We fight for quality: High standards, honest feedback, no ego. Organizers trust us with their revenue. The product has to work.
We think bigger: We're not here to compete on the margins. We're rebuilding the category.
We're bold: Stick out or be forgotten.
The role
We've built the core platform, signed our first venues, and have organizers running events on Tickivo today. Now we're scaling the foundation for Nordic expansion and the next phase of the product.
This is where you come in.
You'll work directly with the founders on the hardest problems: multi-tenant architecture, real-time event systems, and the AI layer that makes Tickivo feel different. No layers, no committees — just sharp feedback and the freedom to do the best engineering work of your career.
This is a founding engineer role with a clear path to CTO. We're looking for someone who wants to build the team, set the technical direction, and grow into leading engineering as Tickivo scales.
What you'll be doing
Own and develop core features across the full stack, from concept to production. Design the platform architecture that will run across the Nordics and beyond. Collaborate directly with the founders, engineering, and design to ship fast and iterate faster. Set the technical bar — architecture decisions, code quality, and engineering culture.
Who you are
3+ years of experience shipping production systems at speed. Deeply comfortable with TypeScript, React, React-Native, Node, and Postgres. Bonus if you've worked with multi-tenant SaaS architecture or scaled platforms with complex state. Sharp instincts for product, not just code — you care about what you're building and why. Background in early-stage or high-growth startups. Ambition to grow into a CTO role as the company scales.
What's in it for you
Early-team equity and a path to CTO for the right person. Direct access to founders and the freedom to build something organizers across the Nordics already depend on. Hard problems worth solving — AI, real-time systems, and consumer-grade product at scale. Centrally located office in Stockholm. The chance to define the engineering culture of a company before it scales, not after.
