Head of Information Technology

Strategic IT Leadership & Digital Transformation

To strengthen the global IT organization, we are seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic, and hands-on Head of IT to define and execute our IT strategy, lead digital transformation, and position IT as a trusted business partner across the organization. Previous leadership experience and industrial/ manufacturing experience is requested.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and continuously evolve the global IT strategy in close alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of the global IT landscape, including infrastructure, cloud/datacenter environments, hardware, and business applications.
• Own and develop core business systems, including ERP, business applications, service desk, and end-user support.
• Lead hands-on IT and digital transformation initiatives from strategy and concept through implementation.
• Partner with business functions to optimize and digitalize processes and unlock operational efficiencies.
• Strengthen IT's role as a strategic business partner across the organization.
• Ensure effective cybersecurity, data protection, IT governance, and business continuity.
• Lead, coach, and develop an international IT team of approximately 10 employees.
• Manage the IT budget, investments, software licensing, and external providers.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience as a Head of IT, IT Manager, or equivalent IT leadership role.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.
• Strong expertise in IT strategy, digital transformation, and data strategy.
• Proven track record in project and change management.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, and IT governance.
• Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and hands-on, with a strong focus on execution and measurable results.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Fluent German and good English language skills.
