Enterprise Architect
Indexed description
Our journey, which began in 1979, has grown into a strong logistics network that delivers more than 1 million shipments daily across Türkiye, with 13 Regional Directorates, 28 Transfer Centers, nearly 1,000 branches, a fleet of 3,000 vehicles, and a team of 14,000 employees. As a subsidiary of Austrian Post Group, we continue our operations with international strength while investing in technology and innovation through Aras Digital, expanding beyond borders through Aras Global, and supporting the unifying power of sports through our Aras Kargo Women's Volleyball Team.
With our renewed identity, experience, and energy, we are setting our course toward the future. If you would like to grow, develop, and take a strong step forward in your career on this journey with us, we would be delighted to welcome you to our team.
This role is part of a newly formed architecture function within the Business Solutions Directorate, covering three complementary disciplines: Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture, and Process Architecture. This position is our current priority hire and is focused on Enterprise Architecture: you will take a holistic, end-to-end view across all ongoing IT and digital transformation projects, and actively steer them to keep the overall technology landscape coherent, integrated, and aligned with enterprise strategy. Rather than working on a single project or application, you will sit above the portfolio — spotting misalignments, conflicts, and gaps across concurrent initiatives early, and guiding project and solution teams toward decisions that serve the enterprise as a whole, not just the initiative in front of them.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Governance
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture across business, application, data, and technology layers
- Establish and evolve architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures for the organization
- Own the architecture governance process and lead or actively participate in architecture review boards
- Maintain the enterprise architecture repository and supporting tooling, ensuring it reflects the current and target-state landscape
Holistic Project & Portfolio Oversight
- Maintain a current, holistic view of all ongoing IT and digital transformation projects and their architectural impact
- Proactively review project and solution designs against enterprise architecture principles, flagging misalignments early rather than at sign-off
- Actively guide and steer concurrent project teams to keep decisions consistent with the target-state architecture
- Identify cross-project dependencies, redundancies, and conflicts, and drive their resolution with the relevant stakeholders
- Provide architectural direction at project inception, and stay engaged through design and delivery to ensure alignment holds
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the connective layer between concurrent projects, the future Application Architect and Process Architect roles, and business stakeholders
- Translate enterprise strategy and standards into guidance that project teams can act on in practice
- Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management
- Build credibility with project teams so that architectural guidance is sought early rather than imposed late
Roadmap & Strategy
- Own and evolve the target-state enterprise architecture vision and the transition roadmap to get there
- Contribute to the IT and digital transformation strategy in collaboration with senior IT and business leadership
- Assess emerging technologies and platforms for their fit within the enterprise landscape
- Help build and mature the architecture practice within the Business Solutions Directorate
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or a related senior architecture role
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken — this role requires daily communication in English
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., TOGAF or equivalent)
- Proven track record of taking a holistic, cross-project view and actively steering multiple concurrent initiatives toward architectural alignment
- Proven ability to produce clear architecture artifacts: landscape diagrams, capability maps, target-state visions, and transition roadmaps
- Solid understanding of application, integration, and data architecture fundamentals across a complex IT landscape
- Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture tooling (e.g., LeanIX, ArchiMate-based tools)
- Familiarity with SAP landscapes (S/4HANA) and their integration with surrounding applications
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture certification
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or cargo industry environments
- Experience setting up or maturing an enterprise architecture practice from an early stage
