The Head of Applications is responsible for leading, managing, and shaping the organization's information systems strategy.
This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, ensuring that technology solutions effectively support the organization’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilitie
• Lead the applications domain at both strategic and operational level
• Managing and leading managers and development and QA teams, including leadership development, mentoring, quality assurance, and meeting goals and timeline
• Overall responsibility for all organizational information systems: core systems, HR, ERP, BI, and digital platform
• Define and execute a technology roadmap aligned with organizational goal
• Lead complex, cross-functional projects, and digital transformation initiative
• Collaborate closely with senior management and business unit
• Manage budgets, including planning, tracking, and resource allocatio
• Oversee vendors, technology partners, and external service provider
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, methodologies, and service deliver
• Promote innovation and implement advanced technology solution
Requirements
- Relevant bachelor’s degree (Information Systems / Computer Science / BSC Industrial Engineering and Management) – Mandatory
- (Master’s degree – advantage)
- At least 8–10 years of experience in the information systems field, including significant experience managing managers and large teams
- At least 5 years of experience managing a large-scale unit/domain (dozens of employees)
- Experience leading complex, cross-organizational projects
- Experience managing budgets and working with senior management
- Deep understanding of enterprise information systems architecture
- High proficiency in Hebrew and English, both written and spoken
- Proven ability to lead organizational change and innovation processes
- Strong service orientation and excellent interpersonal communication skills
