About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader Software Development to lead and support a dynamic software development team in an agile environment.

In this role, you will combine technical leadership, software architecture, development expertise, and people management to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will translate business requirements into technical concepts, guide development teams, review architecture and code, identify technical vulnerabilities, and drive continuous improvement.

You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to achieve project objectives while improving software quality, system performance, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development Leadership

• Lead and coach software development teams in an agile environment.
• Establish clear technical direction and development standards.
• Ensure high levels of software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support teams in delivering reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and engineering best practices.

Requirements & Technical Concepts

• Analyze requirements from different business areas.
• Translate business and functional requirements into effective technical concepts.
• Develop solution approaches for complex software projects.
• Balance technical requirements with business objectives and user needs.
• Support teams in implementing effective and scalable solutions.

Software Architecture & Code Quality

• Conduct architecture reviews and evaluate technical designs.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Promote clean, maintainable, efficient, and high-quality code.
• Identify opportunities to improve system architecture and development processes.
• Establish and maintain appropriate software development standards.

Security & Vulnerability Management

• Proactively identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in existing implementations.
• Analyze technical risks and their potential impact on systems.
• Develop targeted solutions to improve system security, reliability, and performance.
• Work with relevant stakeholders to address technical and security concerns.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders.
• Communicate technical concepts and project requirements clearly.
• Support alignment between development teams and business functions.
• Contribute to achieving project goals and improving the overall user experience.

Team & Employee Development

• Develop and mentor software engineers and team members.
• Set clear objectives and expectations for the development team.
• Monitor team performance and support continuous improvement.
• Identify development and training opportunities for team members.
• Build a collaborative, motivated, and high-performing team culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in software development leadership.
• Proven experience leading software development teams, preferably in an agile environment.
• Strong background in software architecture and software development.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with architecture and code reviews.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and engineering practices.
• Additional certifications in software architecture are a plus.
