Our 2 Hour Learning approach condenses the academic schedule into concentrated, mastery-driven sessions—leaving students time to tackle meaningful challenges. We're now prepared to launch a physical model campus that delivers what's been absent: leadership training, competitive peer environments, a performance-oriented culture, and the community these students need.

You will direct the creation, validation, and public launch of this model campus—positioning it as the blueprint for a national expansion. You'll simultaneously grow our virtual GT Anywhere offering alongside the existing team. This involves piloting real-world programming, generating parent interest, establishing a sustainable culture, and creating the frameworks required to scale.

We're looking for someone with the drive and track record of a founder. Someone who knows that brilliant concepts are worthless without disciplined execution. Someone capable of transforming a bold vision into a school that generates word-of-mouth from parents—and excitement from students.

What You Will Be Doing

• Creating and testing scalable programs that go beyond curriculum—centered on leadership development, autonomy, and competitive drive
• Launching and validating a physical model campus, covering staffing frameworks, facility design, and daily operations
• Crafting parent-targeted messaging, market positioning, and expansion playbooks to accelerate growth
• Establishing, codifying, and replicating quality benchmarks and cultural practices for all future locations
• Serving as the visible leader of the model—generating awareness via media, public events, and strategic alliances

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Operating a conventional school with standard classrooms, instructors, and full-day instruction
• Serving families seeking watered-down gifted programs with AP coursework and limited rigor
• Implementing gradual improvements in legacy systems—we're not reforming schools, we're building alternatives
• Optimizing for vanity metrics—our focus is on measurable outcomes and substantive learning, not mere participation
• Working entirely remotely—you'll enjoy flexibility, but expect to spend roughly 1 week per month in Austin to stay operationally grounded

Founder In Residence Key Responsibilities

Design, validate, and scale a high-performance gifted school model—beginning with a single prototype campus and extending to a national network.

Basic Requirements

• Built and scaled a high-impact venture from scratch (bonus if it involved physical operations or education). We are talking about at least 1M USD yearly revenue owned by you
• Deep, personal understanding of gifted students—whether through family, professional experience, or lived reality
• AI First mentality — Inclination to prioritize AI as the default solution for problem-solving, decision-making and work output generation at scale.
• Proven ability to articulate a compelling vision and convert skeptics into believers
• Based in the U.S., with ability to travel regularly to Austin (minimum 1 week/month)
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
