Head of Engineering

We're building a next-generation consumer fintech platform focused on making a complex financial process dramatically simpler for millions of people. This is founded by the leaders of a unicorn who is building their next big idea (native ai) and has millions of users from current ventures.

This is a high-trust product operating in a regulated environment where security, reliability, privacy, and user experience all matter. We're looking for an engineering leader who is excited to build a category-defining product from the ground up alongside experienced founders.

The Role:

• As a Founding Leader / Head of engineering you will own engineering from the earliest stages of the company.
• This is a true player-coach role. You'll help define the technical vision, build and ship product, establish engineering best practices, recruit exceptional engineers, and scale the organization as the company grows.
• Serve as the company's senior technical leader, helping translate business goals into technical strategy while partnering closely with product, design, and company leadership.
• Hire and mentor a small team of high-performing engineers.
• Establish a strong engineering culture centered on ownership, craftsmanship, collaboration, and execution.
• You've build fintech products where trust, scale, and customer experience were essential.

The Work:

• Lead engineering from early product development through public customer deployment.
• Define the company's architecture, engineering standards, development processes, infrastructure, security, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with product and design to deliver an intuitive consumer experience.
• Own the architecture and technical foundation

AI Native product:

• Design systems that prioritize security, privacy, reliability, compliance, and scalability while maintaining exceptional product quality.
• Leverage AI Across Engineering
• Apply modern AI tools and workflows to improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and developer velocity.
