We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering design and delivery of technology solutions aligned to business strategy, architecture standards, and engineering principles.
- Own end-to-end delivery oversight, including scope, plan, milestones, dependencies, RAID management, and release readiness.
- Drive engineering excellence across SDLC, coding standards, test strategy, automation, CI/CD, and non-functional requirements (performance, security, resilience).
- Streamline and standardise the Investment & Managed Solutions FSA, improving governance, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure solutions meet regulatory expectations, risk policies, operational resilience requirements, and audit/documentation standards.
- Identify, prioritise, and drive adoption of AI use cases within SVS, ensuring controlled delivery, change management, and benefits realisation.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Operations, and Risk/Compliance to translate requirements into deliverable, supportable engineering outcomes.
- Lead stakeholder engagement at multiple levels, communicating engineering decisions, trade-offs, delivery status, and outcomes clearly.
- Promote agile ways of working (SAFe) and continuous improvement across teams and delivery processes.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance support to engineers and junior leaders, building capability and a strong engineering culture.
- Ensure quality deliverables are produced on time and within budget, with clear accountability for outcomes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate opportunities to improve client experience, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Support department objectives and strategic initiatives as required.
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken), with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience leading engineering delivery in complex environments with multiple teams and dependencies.
- Strong domain knowledge in investment products, including funds, discretionary/managed portfolios, alternatives, and related services.
- Experience working in a global set-up across time zones with distributed, multicultural teams.
- Strong ownership mindset with clear accountability for engineering outcomes, delivery quality, and risk/control adherence.
- Practical experience with Agile (SAFe) delivery and DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, release discipline).
- Experience with delivery and engineering tooling such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with a proactive, delivery-focused approach.
