Technical Co-Founder, Propulsion
Round Table Aerospace | Hybrid / Remote
Round Table Aerospace is an early-stage company developing reusable launch vehicles to expand reliable access to orbit for national security, civil, and commercial missions. We are focused on increasing U.S. launch capacity to support critical orbital assets, NASA missions, and future lunar and Martian activities.
We are seeking a Technical Co-Founder to lead propulsion development. This is a true co-founder role with significant equity, not a traditional salaried position.
You will own the technical direction of propulsion systems from concept through development and test. You will work directly with the CEO on vehicle architecture, technical prioritization, and company strategy. In addition to hands-on technical leadership, you will help raise capital and engage with government and commercial customers.
This role requires someone who is comfortable with the realities of an early-stage aerospace company: limited resources, high ownership, and the need to move with urgency.
- Lead the design, development, and test of liquid propulsion systems
- Define technical roadmaps and make prioritization decisions
- Build and mentor the early technical team
- Support fundraising efforts with technical credibility
- Engage with NASA, Space Force, and other government stakeholders as required
- Maintain high standards of engineering rigor while operating in a resource-constrained environment
- Deep hands-on experience in liquid rocket propulsion
- Proven ability to design, build, or test real hardware
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- Comfortable working with U.S. government agencies, including NASA and the Space Force
- Willingness to work primarily for equity at this stage
- Ability to operate effectively in an early-stage environment with limited structure
- Strong communication skills and high personal integrity
- Genuine commitment to advancing American space capabilities
- Significant equity as a co-founder
- Direct collaborative influence on technical design & company culture
- Hybrid work structure: remote is acceptable, with the ability to meet in person if needed in Texas for key working sessions
- The opportunity to help build a new American launch provider from the ground up
We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, direct, and mission-driven. You should be motivated by the work itself and by the importance of maintaining strong American space capabilities. You must be comfortable working with people of diverse backgrounds and fully aligned with building a company that serves national interests.
If you have relevant propulsion experience, believe in the mission, and are prepared for the demands of an early-stage company, we want to hear from you.
To apply: Submit your resume and a brief note on your relevant propulsion experience.
