About Hydrolix
Hydrolix is a streaming data lake purpose-built for high-volume, high-cardinality log and event data. We power the analytics infrastructure behind some of the world's fastest-growing observability and CDN platforms — including a deeply integrated partnership with Akamai, who named us North America ISV Partner of the Year in 2025. We've built a platform that makes it dramatically cheaper and faster to store, query, and act on telemetry at scale. Our next chapter requires that platform to do more: support self-service onboarding, enable a global reseller ecosystem, operate within the AI native data fabric, and underpin new product lines in security analytics. None of that happens without getting the platform right.
The role
Every part of Hydrolix's growth story runs through the core platform. Expanding partnerships, reducing user friction, expansion into new verticals; none of it is possible without a platform that is reliable, operable, and easy to build on, especially for emergent agentic workflows. Right now, too much of that operational burden falls on humans. That's the problem this role exists to solve.
You'll partner with core engineering & product leadership to translate business priorities into a coherent platform roadmap, and translate platform capabilities into terms the rest of the company can sell, support, and build on. It's equal parts technical depth and organizational clarity.
What you'll do
- Collaborate on the core platform roadmap — reliability, scalability, authentication, console architecture, provisioning, and the operator experience for customers and partners, supporting the next order of magnitude of ingested data.
- Drive the platform product decisions behind ongoing strategic bets: what does it mean to make our key customer journey loops faster and easier, and how does the future of the platform reflect that priority?
- Drive internal investments into agentic readiness and supporting architectural AI workflows as well as customer-facing support for novel technologies.
- Implement and iterate on a cross-functional SDLC that ensures Sales Engineering and Customer Success are never learning about platform changes at the 11th hour; then improve and iterate on that process.
- Make core engineering's work legible to the rest of the business: write the narratives that connect platform investments to customer outcomes and business metrics
- Partner with engineering leadership on the sequencing decisions that create or enable future product options — you're not just prioritizing a backlog, you're making architectural bets
- Define and track the platform metrics that matter: onboarding time, support escalation rate, operational incident volume, time-to-value for new customers and partners
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience in product management, with meaningful time on data or analytics platforms, data warehouse or transformation tooling, infrastructure, or developer/operator-facing products
- Technical foundation strong enough to earn engineering trust — you've worked closely enough with distributed systems, data infrastructure, or cloud platforms to credibly provide feedback and discuss trade offs around scope and sequencing
- Systems thinker who sees how platform decisions today create or foreclose options for product teams building on top of them tomorrow
- Clear, structured writer; platform work is invisible until it breaks; your job is to make it legible before that happens
- Significant experience developing platform in an Enterprise SaaS or cloud data firm.
- Experience building the operational discipline — processes, communication rhythms, cross-functional templates — that lets an engineering-led company grow without losing coherence
- Experience with columnar databases, time-series data, distributed/cloud compute platforms or log/event data platforms
- Experience implementing platforms for modern AI solutions - not just solutions themselves, but the architecture and scaffolding to support broad, customer-ready agentic workflows.
Bonus
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, SaaS multi-tenancy, or Kubernetes-based deployments
- Experience at a company transitioning from high-touch enterprise delivery to self-service or product-led growth
