Product Manager
Indexed description
OPTIMUSE is a Vienna-based AI startup rethinking the real estate and construction industry. Our AI, Hans, generates insights on costs, risks, and optimization potential in seconds — grounded in building physics, simulation, and real engineering — both before construction and for existing buildings. Behind us: international investors. Ahead of us: an enormous market. In between: a team of around 25 people from roughly 10 nationalities, with genuine engineering depth.
We're now looking for a Product Manager to take our platform to the next level— owning the roadmap, pricing, and scope along the way. Not managing. Shaping.
What you'll own
- The roadmap across all product areas. You decide what ships next — and you stand behind the why.
- The path from prototype to platform. You sequence the porting effort in waves, cut scope where it's needed, and keep the codebases together instead of letting them drift apart.
- Pricing and packaging. You align packaging with sales, keep the unit economics of compute-intensive simulation runs healthy, and own the Stripe catalog end-to-end.
- Discovery and delivery with customers. You run pilot projects, sit down with asset managers and engineers, translate what you hear into specs, and make sure the platform's reports and studies hold up with customers.
- Quality standards for simulation results. Engineers have to trust the numbers. You define, per engine, what "good enough to ship" means, and you manage the trade-off between physical accuracy and product speed.
- The written trail. PRDs, a well-maintained decision log, release notes. Our rule: if it isn't documented, it didn't happen.
Who we're looking for
- Product management experience in a B2B SaaS environment — with substantial time spent on a technical or data-intensive product.
- Experience in — or hands-on exposure to — the construction industry.
- An AI-native way of working: for you, AI is a tool, not a buzzword.
- Real technical confidence. You question a data model, follow a discussion with engineers, and understand a simulation output well enough to challenge it.
- A degree that connects building energy systems, simulation, and building operations across engineering disciplines — or equivalent hands-on competence in building analysis and simulation
- Fluent English; professional German strongly preferred.
Why us?
- Real impact. Your product decisions feed into real investment decisions and move the platform forward in tangible ways.
- The full solution chain. From digital twin to performance monitoring — a complete product portfolio rather than isolated one-off projects.
- Flexible working models. Home-office option & a modern office in the heart of Vienna.
- And the day-to-day works too. Daily meal allowance (€5/day), regular team events, free snacks.
- Compensation: €60,000.00 – €80,000.00 gross/year.
